Cambridge Pride was joined by colleagues from South Cambridgeshire District Council who hosted a stall to educate people about the wide range of career options in local government.
It is the third year running that the Council has been part of the popular event on Jesus Green.
Celebrating alongside thousands of Pride-goers, the Council team enjoyed chatting with visitors interested in discovering what makes South Cambridgeshire a great place to live and work.
The team spoke to attendees about the variety of things local government does, explained what a career in local government looks like, how the Council is an inclusive and supportive employer and the varying opportunities available to employees.
The day included a wide range of stalls, including from other public sector organisations and charities.
Cllr Bridget Smith, Leader of South Cambridgeshire District Council, said: “Pride is a time to celebrate diversity and reflect on the progress made towards a more inclusive society, as well as the hard work still to go. It’s also an opportunity to recognise the many people who have worked to create a world where everyone can feel respected and valued. As we look ahead, it remains important to continue building a kinder, more equal and more accepting future for all.”
