Preparation of the North West Cambridge AAP
We jointly submitted the North West Cambridge AAP along with Cambridge City Council to the Secretary of State in May 2008 and examination hearings to test the 'soundness' of the AAP were held in November - December 2008.
At the Inspectors' request, additional public consultation on a larger site option was held in March - April 2009. An additional examination hearing was held in June 2009.
In August 2009, the Inspectors issued their Inspectors Report [PDF, 0.2MB] concluding that the North West Cambridge AAP is 'sound' subject to a number of binding changes being made.
The North West Cambridge AAP was formally adopted on 22 October 2009.
