In 2008 we adopted the Cambridge East Area Action Plan. This plan identifies the site for a sustainable new urban area of approximately 10,000 to 12,000 dwellings, the delivery of which is based on the relocation of Cambridge airport. The area can be divided into three main development sites - Wing/ Marleigh, Land north of Cherry Hinton and Marshalls ground run enclosure.
How can I view the planning application?
The easiest way for you to view the plans is to visit and search for the planning applications using the application reference number:
- 18/0481/OUT – Outline planning application for 1200 new homes at land north of Cherry Hinton
- S/1096/19/RM - Reserved matters application for 239 homes Marleigh phase 1A
If you do not have internet access, you can also view the plans at our office between 9am and 5pm weekdays.
Current stage
Present - 'Prior to occupation' planning conditions currently being determined for phase 1A of Marleigh by Local Planning Authority.
