Locality working
Parish councils are key to helping communities influence district-wide and countywide priorities and to achieving an excellent quality of life in local communities.
Locality leads act as an easy contact point for parishes in their area, to either help them directly with our services, or signpost them in the right direction.
The localities mirror the police neighbourhoods and broadly align with the Cambridgeshire County Council’s children’s localities. We call the localities 'North', 'South West' and 'South East'.

- South West: Liz Davy
- South East: Louise Lord
The locality leads also help parishes to collaborate and share good practice when it makes sense to do so. They lead on community development related activity for the Council and can directly answer questions on:
- Community-led Planning
- Community Right to Bid (Assets of Community Value)
- Community Right to Challenge
- Community Transport
- Telephone box adoption
- Community Grants
Locality leads are not gatekeepers and where parishes and Councillors know what they want and who they need to speak to they are encouraged to continue to make direct contact.
