Community governance review of Foxton

Background information

At the request of Foxton Parish Council, South Cambridgeshire District Council undertook a Community Governance Review of the parish of Foxton to consider whether there should be an increase in the number of parish councillors from nine to ten.

The parish of Foxton currently has an electorate of 1,033.

A Community Governance Review was conducted from 7 January 2020 to 7 February 2021. Please refer to the Terms of Reference, for further details.

15 people in total made submissions with the majority supporting the increase in the number of councillors. A report on the submissions received was presented to Civic Affairs Committee who met on 25 March 2021 and agreed to increase the number of Parish Councils to 15 at the next election of councillors in May 2022.
