This scheme recognises outstanding achievement for effort above and beyond normal job responsibilities by employees and teams who have made a significant positive difference to their customers. The emphasis of the recognition scheme is on customer service and service improvement and includes both external and internal customers of the Council.
The scheme promotes and supports a culture where new ideas are shared and good practice and innovation is encouraged in line with the Council's Values of customer service, mutual respect, commitment to improving services and trust.
The recognition panel will judge individual and team nominations against the following criteria:
You can nominate any employee of South Cambridgeshire District Council including 3C shared service staff. You can not nominate your husband, wife, partner or a member of your family. You can also nominate teams for the recognition scheme.
Nominations for recognition will be sought from customers, colleagues and managers and evaluated on a quarterly basis. Rewards are not restricted to one person.
These are the dates when nominations are invited
Managers will be notified when a nomination has been received for a member of their team and will be invited to comment.
Executive Management Team, consisting of directors representing all service areas will judge nominations using short-listing principles based around the award criteria.
Winners each quarter will be selected by the judging panel and with the winner's agreement, announced on In-site, the Council Facebook page and in Scene. Winners will be presented with certificates at Corporate Brief/team meetings and will be considered for the annual award.
All nominees and those highly commended will be publicised on InSite.
