Concern has been raised regarding its height and sail of this tree and its proximity to both the neighboring house (Alpha Omega), the telephone lines and of course the very busy main road junction (Tunwells Lane/High Green/High Street). In the high winds experienced earlier on this year the neighbors were in fear of branch failure. Considering the height of this previous pollard and the possibility of weak unions/pockets of rot as a result of previous works, I propose a re-pollard. The tree has been pollard at two separate points previously which is clearly visible. The following trees scattered throughout the dense copse described above, are a number of very large Ash trees (T12, T13, T18, T19, T20, T21) with several large Prunus trees (T14, T15, T16) and a Horse Chestnut (T17).
A number of these trees are towering over the neighbouring properties and do not have a balanced canopy. Several of these trees show signs of decay at the base with fungal fruiting bodies or signs of rot further up the trunk. 
Owing to the condition of these trees, and the potential risk to the neighbouring property, it is proposed to section fell these trees to ground level
