To remove a Sycamore tree that is causing extensive structural damage to a retaining wall at the Old Vicarage, Madingley. The Sycamore tree is situated above the busy Cambridge Road (opposite the Stephen Perse School) and the roots of the tree are pushing the wall out towards the road. I have carried out visual inspections of the roots and wall during the past eight months and the cracks in the wall have become larger as the season goes on. It is not possible to move the targets i.e - the wall or road and the roots can not be reduced as this will make the tree unstable and a risk to the public.
