Payphone Removals

Universal Service Providers such as BT have an obligation to consult with the Council when they propose to remove public call boxes or call box services that are within the Council’s boundary.  Ofcom has produced guidance on procedures for the removal of public call boxes http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/binaries/consultations/uso/statement/removals.pdf.

First notification and final notification documentation (draft decisions and final decisions) in response to a proposal by a service provider are published here as appropriate.
