We are a very rural district with over 100 villages. The Council does not operate multi-storey car parks or any car parks that have meters. Our parish councils look after some very small car parks, mainly village hall car parks, and these do not have any charges. Below is Foxton village hall offering parking:
There are sometimes parking issues that can be more serious offences when penalty points can be given to drivers. Examples of these can include causing an obstruction, if you park your vehicle on zig-zags by schools or in bus/cycle lane. These offences are dealt with by Cambridgeshire Police.
If you are looking for more information on penalty charge notices, blue badges and disabled parking-bay permits, Cambridgeshire County Council look after these. You can apply for these and make payments online via their website.
If you have a dispute and you are a Council tenant please see our problems and disputes page for information on how to report any issues or how to install your own driveway, for example.
If you visit parkopedia, you can see a full list of local car parks to the South Cambridgeshire district area. You can also see prices of car parks and if the car park has disabled spaces. The parkopedia website is not updated by the Council.
