Let's Get Moving Cambridgeshire
Let's Get Moving Cambridgeshire is a new initiative, funded by Public Health, which aims to improve the health of the Cambridgeshire population, specifically by increasing levels of physical activity.
As part of the initiative Let's Get Moving South Cambridgeshire will be promoting existing opportunities, developing new opportunities, and supporting individuals who require support to achieve their goals. Ellen Bridges, the Physical Activity Locality Coordinator for South Cambridgeshire, is currently asking residents to let her know what activities they would like to see in their area. You can give your views by using our survey.
If you would like to get involved in setting up a new activity in your area, need support to become more active or would like some more information about Let's Get Moving Cambridgeshire please contact Ellen Bridges on 01954 713294 or email@example.com. Alternatively you can visit our Let's Get Moving webpage and follow us on Facebook.
One of the activities Ellen is hoping to set up are some buggywalks in Cambourne. If you are interested in getting involved please complete the very short questionnaire to help Ellen know which day would be best.
On Thursday 12th October, 12.30pm we will be holding a #runandtalk event to improve mental wellbeing through running or walking, and break down the stigma associated with mental health by getting people to talk about it. You can choose to run/walk one or three miles and the route will be led by Clare Strongmanm a run leader and Mental Health Ambassador.
