The following planning application decisions were made at the meeting of South Cambridgeshire District Council’s Planning Committee, held as a hybrid meeting on Wednesday 9 June 2021 at South Cambridgeshire Hall. Holding it in this way enabled the meeting to be COVID-19 safe within the room, whilst allowing officers and public speakers to participate virtually.

  1. Construction of a 168-bedroom hotel with facilities, access gates, car parking, cycle parking and landscaping at Imperial War Museum, Duxford.
    Applicant: Propiteer Hotels Duxford Limited
    Decision: Approved

  2. Outline planning application for the erection of a single self-build dwelling with all matters reserved at 35 Balsham Road, Linton.
    Applicant: South Cambridgeshire District Council
    Decision: Approved

  3. Change of use of The Limes Community Centre in Bassingbourn-cum-Kneesworth to a village hall, including social activities and as a base for the parish council, and as a community library and for health, education and indoor exercise.
    Applicant: Mrs Valerie Tookey, Bassingbourn-cum-Kneesworth Parish Council
    Decision: Approved

  4. A single-storey rear extension and part conversion of redundant garage to form a utility room at 24 Manor Park, Histon.
    Applicant: Mr and Mrs Matthews
    Decision: Approved

  5. The proposed diversion of Public Footpath no. 6 and stopping up of Public Footpath no. 8 in Melbourn.
    Applicant: South Cambridgeshire District Council
    Decision: Approved
