We are currently recruiting for a full time Revenues Assistant to join our dynamic and forward thinking Revenues department.

Are you an experienced Administrator looking for an opportunity to move into a more specialist role?

As Revenues Assistant your primary responsibilities will include general administration, maintenance of council tax accounts, communication with customers and dealing with reminders and summonses in cases of non-payment and negotiating with customers to facilitate efficient collection of arrears.

As the successful candidate you will have the ability to prioritise work, be organised and be self motivated. You will also have proven IT skills and a good standard of English and Mathematics.

Strong communications are vital in this role; you need to be customer focused and a good negotiator as well as a strong team player. Your ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with a variety of customers, and to be able to reach successful resolutions, will be an important skill.

It is desirable that you have experience of working in local authority revenues collection or a similar environment, although this is not essential and training in all aspects of the position will be provided.
