We are seeking a driven individual with strong analytical skills to join our Policy, Performance and Projects team as Policy and Performance Officer.
The Policy and Performance Officer role provides an opportunity to work at the centre of an ambitious and dynamic Local Authority organisation, influencing strategy and monitoring and reporting progress and delivery to senior decision makers. This is a varied job that provides an excellent platform upon which to build a career in local government.
The successful applicant will be motivated by a desire to seek out, gain support for and implement opportunities for service improvement, and the delivery of positive outcomes for our residents. Attention to detail and an awareness of data quality issues will be vital for the completion and submission of performance reports that allow management and Councillors to make strategic decisions about the delivery of Council services. Good communication and relationship building skills are essential for this role, which will involve working with colleagues across the Council’s range of service areas on a daily basis.
The Policy and Performance Officer will act to promote the Council’s equality scheme and as such an awareness of the equality agenda, particularly within a local government context, is an important requirement for this role.
