Summary

This post offers an exciting opportunity to play an active role in providing housing advice and homeless prevention to Ukrainian Nationals who are currently residing in the South Cambridgeshire District under the Homes for Ukraine or other Schemes.

A key aspect of the role will be working with guests and their hosts who require support and advice and working collaboratively with other agencies, landlords and support agencies to prevent homelessness as well as investigating homeless applications, having regard to the Code of Guidance and other relevant legislation.

The posts will involve regular contact with Ukrainian Nationals including face to face, telephone and written communication. The ability to travel within the district is essential.

We are looking for candidates who can offer:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience of providing housing advice and homeless prevention services
  • Knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation
