We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic administrator to join our small elections team as Electoral Services Assistant.
You will need to have a keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to being accurate in your work. Whilst experience of working in a complex administration environment will be beneficial, it is more important that you have a positive attitude and approach to your work. As our Electoral Services Assistant you will be responsible for the administrative functions of the elections team. A key part of the role is the opening, sorting, scanning and processing of all our registration and absent voting forms. You will be responsible for overseeing incoming and outgoing post for the team. You will appreciate the need for care when handling personal sensitive data such as national insurance numbers. Of course, you will also support the team in the organisation and delivery of elections in South Cambridgeshire.
Whilst you will not be the first line of customer contact, you must be able to engage well with customer enquiries during busy periods or as cover for the rest of the team
The nature of the work means that annual leave will be restricted during certain times in the year, and that you will occasionally be required to work additional hours, which may include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
This is a politically restricted post.
For an informal conversation about this new opportunity please contact Andrew Francis. Electoral Services Manager on 01954 713014.
Closing date: 9am on 29 July 2019
Interviews will be held on 5 August 2019
