This is an exciting apprenticeship within the Revenues and Benefits team, providing administrative support and the front-line customer service. You must be motivated, confident and committed to delivering the best service to all our customers.
To deliver the best service we need the best people who can consistently meet and deliver an excellent service to our customers. You will be part of a small team who are the first point of contact for our customers this includes face to face, telephone and email enquiries You must always display an enthusiastic and positive demeanour, be assertive and confident, be proactive in nature and demonstrate bags of common sense but also, there is a need to display empathy and tact in sensitive situations.
Technology and digital media are becoming more important to our daily business so you must be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills and the ability to pick-up new IT systems quickly.
The role involves gathering information and supporting documents to enable benefit claims and Council Tax accounts to be processed or revised. You need to be able to maintain accuracy while balancing the competing demands of the role.
It is important that you are a team player contributing to improving the service and ensuring the team’s targets and deadlines are met.
Key responsibilities will be to oversee the receipt of document by mail, in person and email. The Revenues and Benefits section have an electronic document imaging system and this role is key to linking the applications, documents and correspondence to the customer account.
