Ways to get involved

Working together we can deliver the housing service that tenants and leaseholders expect. Tenant and leaseholder volunteers help us make housing service decisions, help set priorities, look at our policies and processes, making sure they are tenant friendly and fair to everyone. They review performance, value for money and customer satisfaction in all areas of the housing service.
These are some of the ways you can be involved:

NewsIn South Cambs Newsletters

Our monthly e-newsletter In South Cambs keeps you up to date with housing news, as well as information on community events and other information.

Let us know if you want to sign up to receive our newsletters by email each month.

You can take a look at the latest tenant news as well as previous issues.

  • Are there things that you want to change or improve about your home or community?
  • Would you like us, your landlord, to do things differently?
  • Do want to make sure your rent money is being spent on the things you think are important?

Then join our Feedback Forum. It's an opportunity to get involved as little or as much as you like. You can volunteer to just answer surveys or polls. In the future, there will be working groups about repairs, making homes environmentally friendlier. The working groups meet 1 to 6 times depending on the issue.

You can make a difference, sign up to the Feedback Forum.

Estate Inspections help keep your neighbourhood safe and tidy. Your housing and estate officers do informal estate inspections throughout the year. They look to see if there are any issues, report them and arrange work to be carried out.

Housing and estate officers together with trained volunteers also carry out formal estate inspections. Together they look at a range of issues including landscape, pathways, communal areas in buildings, fly-tipping, and signs of infestations.  These are carried out from March to October.

Find out when your estate is being inspected and use our form to report any issues you think need our attention.

Tenant Working Groups

Our Housing Engagement Board elects two representatives from each of our three housing areas to help us deliver services that are focused on tenants needs.
We also have a Housing Performance Panel that reviews the performance of key areas of our service and identifies areas where performance could be improved and suggests improvements that could come out of this.

Other tenant working groups may be set up to look at specific projects that need input from our tenants.
