The majority of street lights across Cambridgeshire (around 52,000) are maintained by Cambridgeshire County Council.  Faults with these lights should be reported directly to Cambridge County Council.

Street Lights maintained by us

We maintain around 1,800 street lights across the district, generally located along footpaths within parishes. 

All of our lights begin with the prefix 'SC' and can be identified on the street map below.

Faults with these lights can be reported through our web form below or by calling our Contact Centre on 03450 450063.  Please note that you will need to have established the number of the street light when reporting a fault via our web form.

If the fault is an emergency (likely to cause severe injury or immediate risk to life) please report it to the police immediately and call our emergency response number 0800 0285580.

To report an urgent fault outside of office opening hours only you should call 01354 654321 (this number is supported by our partners Fenland District Council). 

*after 17.30 and during weekends
