Help to pay your bills
If you have tested positive for Covid-19 you should stay at home for 10 days to avoid spreading the virus.
If staying at home will mean that you are not able to pay your bills, the Council can transfer money to you to help. This could be £500 or more and it can be in your bank account within 3 days.
If you care for someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, and this means you would need to stay home to care for them, you may also be able to receive money to help with this.
This is a one-off payment to make sure you have enough money to stay at home. We won’t use the information you give us for anything else.
Everyone should ask us for help - even if you are not working, or if you're self-employed. We want to help you to stay at home if you have tested positive.
