I need help, or know someone who does, because of Coronavirus
We are working with partners within Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to ensure people have the support they need during the pandemic. Below includes some helpful guidance for residents and Council Tenants. The latest guidance and medical guidance can be found on Gov.uk.
Steps if you need help because of Coronavirus
Speak to your friends and family. They might not know you need help and will be keen to do whatever they can.
If you find help, please still make contact with a community group so you have a back up plan should your friends or family be unable to help in future. See Step 2.
If you have no family nearby or neighbours you can turn to, contact your local volunteer group which is continuing to support residents during the crisis. Find your local volunteer group on the Cambridgeshire County Council website.
If you’ve tried Step 1 and Step 2 and you still need help, please get in touch with us by completing our online Request Assistance form (link below). We can put you in touch with a community group or help you directly in an emergency.
Concerns about a resident who needs help
If you are concerned about a resident who isn't one of our tenants, or you need some support yourself, please let us know by filling out our form below so that we have the information we need to offer support.
Where a resident appears to be in imminent or immediate danger, as under normal circumstances, you should phone the Police on 101 or 999 as appropriate. Where a resident appears to be in need of medical intervention, but is refusing to contact services, you may raise your concerns with:
- the First Response Service by dialing 111 and choosing option 2 for a mental health crisis
- the Social Care out of hours/duty team at the County Council on 01733 234724 or 03450 455 203 during office hours
If you are concerned about a Council tenant during the Coronavirus outbreak, especially if they are elderly or vulnerable, please email us their details and we will check up on them.
You can also call us on 03450 455 063 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 5:30pm).
