South Cambs EU Referendum total

24 June 2016

Over 81% of eligible South Cambridgeshire voters took part in the EU Referendum, with 60% voting for the United Kingdom to Remain a member of the European Union.

The EU Referendum local count total for South Cambridgeshire was announced in Cambourne just after 4am on Friday 24 June:

  • Remain: 56,128 - 60.19%
  • Leave: 37,061 - 39.74%
  • Rejected: 61

The overall local turnout was 81.22% - the highest in Cambridgeshire, second highest in the East of England and seventeenth highest overall.

The local count total was forwarded on to the Eastern Region counting officer in Chelmsford. The Regional total was then sent on to the National count in Manchester.
