Our busy Revenues Team are currently recruiting for a full time Revenues Assistant to join us on a permanent contract. We are looking for someone to deal with all aspects of Revenue Collection relevant to the Authority’s administrative area.
As a Revenues Assistant your primary responsibilities will include the maintenance of council tax accounts, dealing with reminders and summonses in cases of non-payment and negotiating with customers to facilitate efficient collection of arrears.
It would be beneficial if you have experience of working in local authority revenues collection or a similar environment however training in all aspects of the position will be provided.
As a Revenues Assistant you will be expected to have strong administration skills and have proven IT skills and a good standard of English and Mathematics.
Strong communications are vital in this role; you need to be customer focused and a good negotiator as well as a strong team player. Your ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with a variety of customers, and to be able to reach successful resolutions, will be an important skill.
