At today's meeting of the Planning Committee (Wednesday 5 December) at South Cambridgeshire District Council, the following decisions were made:

1) New facilities for Welch's Transport Group at Moorfield Road, Duxford including storage and distribution building, vehicle sales, service, MoT and repair building, offices and customer, staff, truck and crane parking. The applicant is Welch's Group Holdings Ltd.

2) Outline application for up to 44 homes - 6 flats and 38 houses - including 14 affordable units at Granta Terrace, Stapleford. Plans include children's play area equipment, parking and landscaping following demolition of existing buildings and hardstanding at Welch's Transport Ltd. This application follows an appeal against an earlier non-determination. The Planning Committee is required to advise what its decision would have been had it been in a position to determine it. This decision will inform the Council's position at the appeal hearing.
