Description of facilities

  • Lobby/entrance and location for vending machines and public telephone.
  • Office, small office with views of clubhouse main entrance, pitches and floodlit synthetic turf pitches.
  • Any future club room provision should have large windows for viewing the sports pitches and direct access to the bar and kitchen.
  • Provide the infrastructure for the future provision of a commercial grade kitchen serving the club room and the outside.
  • Changing rooms - 6 individual football team, unisex changing rooms with one shower point for every 4 changing spaces, 2 toilets and 2 wash basins. 20m2 individual ruby team changing rooms with one shower point for every 4 changing spaces, 2 toilets and 2 wash basins.
  • Two Officials’ self-contained changing rooms with capacity for three officials for each senior pitch. Two separate officials changing rooms to be provided so that both sexes can be accommodated at the same time.
  • Physiotherapy and first aid room with full length treatment table with access on three sides.
  • Three kit bag stores with roller shutter door, or equivalent in terms of robustness and security (which may require external access), slatted shelving and safe area to be provided for each pair of changing rooms. This facilitates doubling up of teams on a single changing room and offers flexibility and increased capacity.
  • Secure locker storage for personal possessions and medical supplies. These rooms doubled up as accessible changing, shower and toilet.
  • Furniture store so that club room floor can be cleared for events or to store indoor sports equipment.
  • Corridors are to be at least 1.5 metres wide and provide convenient access to pitches. The layout is to be designed to enable direct access from changing rooms to the main entrance and club room via a dedicated corridor with secure lockers for individuals valuables.
  • Public toilets male, female and disabled, including baby changing, off foyer to avoid need to open up club room.
  • Cleaner’s cupboard and store, lockable cupboard with bucket sink and shelving.
  • Plant room
  • Outdoor store storage for nets, corner posts, netball posts, mini soccer goals, balls, training equipment and maintenance equipment.  11-a-side goal posts will be left erected or stored elsewhere. It is assumed that the grounds maintenance will be sub-contracted with no storage requirement.
  • Broadband facility and IT points in the office and public rooms.
