Neighbourhood Planning
Neighbourhood planning was introduced in the Localism Act 2011 and is an important and powerful tool that gives communities statutory powers to shape how their communities develop. The neighbourhood planning process can be used to support the transition to net zero carbon.
Guidance and support including hands-on, tailored advice and assistance for neighbourhood planning groups is provided free of charge by the Centre for Sustainable Energy.
