All leading web browsers have a “private browsing” mode that, once enabled, stores nothing about your activity on your computer in that browsing window. This won’t stop online services from seeing what you get up to, but it won’t leave any traces of your activity on your computer (no history, web cache or anything else) and so it’s always a useful first step to take.

  • Internet Explorer: Go to Safety – Tools – “InPrivate Browsing”.
  • Firefox: Click the Menu button with three horizontal lines – “New Private Window”.
  • Chrome: Click the Menu button with three horizontal lines and select “New Incognito Window”.

Similar options can be found in Opera and Safari. Read Women’s Aid’s advice on how to cover your tracks online.

Cambridgeshire Home Improvement Agency, part of South Cambridgeshire District Council are currently experiencing delays completing adaptation work due to contractor availability. They have recently recruited new contractors who are now starting to accept orders and will begin working in some of your homes over the coming months. Thank you for your continued patience and support whilst we try to resume business as usual. We apologise for the inconvenience this is causing.

We will be completing some essential maintenance on Wednesday 14 June 2023. As a result, you may lose access to our website during this period. Our payment system and e-forms may also be affected. Apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.

We have launched a short survey to help us deliver service improvements for residents and businesses across our district. This is your chance to say what you think we are getting right and where we need to get better.

Each month, MEL Research will contact a sample of our tenants who had a repair carried out the month before to ask them how satisfied they were with the work. You may be contacted by either email or by telephone. If you have any questions or concerns about this survey, please contact Rhiannon Pratt at MEL Research on freephone 0800 0730 348 or if you would like to contact the Council directly, please email Operations@scambs.gov.uk
