New signs hit the streets at Orchard Park

Released on 31 December 2008

The latest arrivals at Orchard Park have put the development on the map, as new signs give clearer directions to residents and visitors alike, thanks to South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC).

Working with developers Gallaghers, SCDC arranged and funded two new map boards at Chieftain Way and Graham Road at Orchard Park, allowing anyone visiting the development to find their way around more easily. The new boards represent just a small element of the developing community at Orchard Park.

SCDC new communities portfolio holder Cllr David Bard said,

South Cambridgeshire District Council is working very closely with its partners to address the issues raised by local people at Orchard Park. We were aware of residents' concerns about people finding their way around the development and I hope these new map boards are a welcome arrival. They are just one of a number of initiatives that have taken place at Orchard Park in the last few months as all partners in the development work to make it a success.
