Recreation and open space study (July 2013)

What is the Recreation and Open Space Study?

The Recreation and Open Space Study July 2013 investigates current quantity and quality of recreation and open space provision in the district, how this is meeting local need, and reviews the standards for open space necessary to ensure that new spaces are provided to meet the needs that have been generated by new development.

The study is one of a good deal of evidence base and supporting studies produced or commissioned by us to inform the preparation of the new Local Plan. The evidence collected will also inform us, our Parish Councils and other bodies, where and how to improve facilities and will assist in both targeting and obtaining grant funding to provide new and improved open space and recreation facilities.
