Street and house collections licences

House to house collections

The House to House Collection Public Register is now available.

Collecting money by visiting houses is a popular way of raising money for charity or events. Under the House-to-House Collection Act 1939 those who undertake collections will need to be licensed.

Fee

The licence lasts as long as the dates you specify in your application and there is no fee for this service.

Returns

Once the house-to-house licence has been granted and the collection has taken place, the applicant must submit a collection statement of return. The return must be made within one month to us detailing the amounts collected. 

Street collections

Collecting money in the street is a good way of raising funds for charity or events. Under the Street Collections Act 1972 those who collect the money are required to be licensed.

Fee

The licence lasts as long as the dates you supply in your application and there is no fee for this service.
