About the grant
Funding
- The maximum an applicant can apply for: £500
- Usage: Venue hire, marketing, equipment purchases
- Scope: Single village or multiple villages
Grant objectives
- Increase Activity Levels: Focus on rural areas or places with less activity provision.
- Support Variety: Encourage a wider range of activities across the district.
Participant benefits
- Free Introductory Session: New participants get one free session.
- Continued Participation: Participants pay a fee after the introductory session.
- Promotion: Supported by South Cambridgeshire District Council and partners via social media and other channels.
- Feedback: Providers must submit non-confidential participant information and session feedback.
- Health Questionnaires: New participants are encouraged to complete online health questionnaires.

- Small fitness businesses/entrepreneurs (must show public liability insurance, qualifications, and safeguarding if applicable)
- Primary Care Networks
- Community facilities
- Voluntary sector organisations
- Specialist groups

Presentation of relevant certificates before award and transfer of funds.

- Activities supporting specific groups or ethnic groups
Other unique activities may be considered.
Sustainability
Applications should demonstrate a strong case for sustainability after initial funding.
