Question

Do I need approval to erect a greenhouse, conservatory or detached garage?

Answer

Generally, you do not need to submit an application under the Building Regulations for these works, provided they fall within the limits set out in Schedule 2 of the Building Regulations 2000 (This link will open in a new window). You should ensure that ALL criteria are met and you are advised to consult building control to confirm exemption on 01954 713203.

You are advised, however, that planning permission may still be required and you should consult development control on 03450 455 215.
