Bulky items - Collection services

If you have unwanted bulky items, such as furniture, electrical white goods and soft furnishings that are still usable, you may be able to donate them to a local charity or to other people through an online community. Alternatively you can use the Council's Bulky Goods Service for which there is a charge.

Bulky Goods Collection Service

South Cambridgeshire District Council will collect bulky household items by arrangement.

The items for collection will need to be placed in a position both easily accessible and visible from the road at the front of your property by 7am on the day of the collection (e.g. front garden or drive).

If you prefer, you can take the items yourself to one of the Household Waste Recycling Centres (based at Milton or Thriplow). There is NO CHARGE made for leaving items at one of these centres.

South Cambridgeshire District Council will take the following items away for a charge of £30.00 for the first 3 items and £5.00 per extra item booked at the same time.
