New Chief Executive for South Cambridgeshire District Council

Jean Hunter, from Lancashire was confirmed as the new Chief Executive at a meeting of the council on Thursday 22 July. Jean is currently Chief Executive of South Ribble Borough Council and has held senior positions in local government for more than 20 years.

Chemical site clean-up

Clean-up work is currently being undertaken at the former Bayer CropScience Site in Hauxton. We will keep you updated about what is happening and why, how the clean-up is being done and answer some common questions about the work.

New system for online planning applications

South Cambridgeshire District Council is currently installing a new IT system for the planning service that will improve our ability to perform, increasing our efficiency and better equipping us to serve our customers. As part of this process our new online planning application search facility became available on Monday 26th July 2010.
