Doing Business With The Council

Contracting opportunities

Opportunities for selling to the council

We spend approximately £17 million each year buying goods and services. In spending that money, it is our duty to ensure value for money and a high standard of service.  Please see the list of our contracts.

We advertise the contracts of over £25,000 that we are currently tendering on the LGSS Procurement Portal. Here you can also find out about tendering opportunities with Cambridge City Council, Huntingdonshire District Council and Cambridgeshire County Council as well as a range of other organisations from across the country.

Once you are registered on the site, you can sign up to receive email updates on opportunities that match your areas of interest.

You can also look for our tender opportunities (above £25,000 and below the World Trade Organisation Threshold £200k Supplies/Services and £5m Works) on Contracts Finder. This is a searchable database of all public sector tenders including national and local governments, the NHS and schools.

Our tenders for goods and services above the World Trade Organisation Thresholds are advertised in the Find a Tender Service which advertises in the Official Journal of the European Union.

We also use a number of consortiums to procure goods and services, for example ESPO and the Crown Commercial Service. Take a look at their websites to find out how you can become a registered supplier.

You may also be interested in selling to Fenland District Council, East Cambridgeshire District Council and Peterborough City Council.

We recommend that you sign up to our business newsletter to hear about upcoming tender opportunities, procurement workshops and other business information and advice.

Please note that South Cambridgeshire District Council does not operate an approved supplier list.
