Dial a ride scheme

Dial-a-Ride provides community transport for individuals or groups living in or around Cambridge, including many South Cambridgeshire parishes. A registered charity, Cambridge Dial-a-Ride is funded by local councils including South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC).
The service is open to anyone who is rurally isolated or has mobility difficulties due to age, sickness or disability. Vehicles are fully accessible allowing easy access for passengers with limited mobility, including wheelchairs.
The Rural Sprinter service enables pre-booked passengers to get out and about. Operating five days a week, one rural route is run per day. Passengers can be dropped off and picked up anywhere en route or within Cambridge City, from villages in and around South Cambridgeshire. To find out if your village is included on a route and for which day of the week, visit the Dial a ride village information page (This link will open in a new window).
- Regular trips are also arranged to tourist attractions, regional markets and other locations.
- Community groups can also hire vehicles and drivers.
To use Cambridge Dial-a-Ride you must be a member - just complete a registration form and pay a nominal annual charge.
