Community Risk Register

The community risk register lists risks that could happen within a geographical area. Under the Civil Contingencies Act, emergency services and local authorities have a legal duty to assess risk in their area. These risks are reviewed on a rolling basis by the CPLRF and plans are updated, should things change.

The latest table of scores are available below.

Community Risk Register Explained

The Civil Contingencies Act 2004 places a duty on all Category 1 responders to "assess the risk of an emergency within, or affecting a geographical area for which each Category 1 responder is responsible".

The community risk register focuses on those hazards that may present risks that could lead to a special response from all partner agencies involved.

Risk Analysis

The hazards outlined in the CRR have been assessed using the likelihood and impact criteria contained in the guidance published with the CCA.

Risk Matrix

Both likelihood and impact criteria have been put in a matrix and colour coded to further highlight the severity of any given risk. Each individual risk has recorded a likelihood and impact criteria and colour reference.
