Running is a safe and enjoyable way to health and fitness. Running on a regular basis can:

  • Make you feel good

  • Help you sleep
  • Help reduce stress
  • Keep your heart strong
  • Reduce blood pressure
  • Help weight management

Joining a running group is an excellent way to meet people and get fit while enjoying the local environment. Why not come along to a session, which is led led by a qualified running coach and includes an appropriate warm up and cool down activity.

It seems we also have plenty of parents wanting to take part in some exercise after dropping their children at the school gates and we want to help harness that enthusiasm.Groups cater for complete beginners and start with a mix of walking and running to help participants build up fitness at their own pace. Improver's groups cater for those progressing from beginners and wishing to continue running with the benefit of advice from a qualified instructor. So far we have established the followinggroups and are looking to take this further.
