Bird flu information
While there have been no reported cases of bird flu in Cambridgeshire, we are asking all visitors to Milton Country Park to be vigilant if they find any dead birds.
While you're visiting the park, if you find:
- a dead swan, goose or duck;
- more than three dead wild or garden birds of the same species or;
- more than five dead birds of different species in the same location
Leave it alone and contact the Defra helpline on 08459 33 55 77 to report it. If Defra ask for your location, the park address is: Milton Country Park, Milton, Cambridge, CB4 6AZ.
If the dead bird is a single, small garden or wild bird then you do not need to call Defra.
If you report a dead bird to Defra, please tell the park rangers on (01223) 420060. If no one is available to take your call, please leave a message.
For more information or general advice on bird flu visit the Defra website (This link will open in a new window).
