Cultural Olympiad
In 2010, residents from across the district will be taking part in activities and celebrations as part of the Cultural Olympiad.
Orchard Park's community-led Park Arts Group is planning a series of carnival workshops and activities for residents of all ages whilst Cambourne Bloco, which started in April 2009, is also growing rapidly. There are now over 60 members from the Cambourne and Comberton area including drummers, brass players, dancers and costume makers. The group will be playing at various venues around the country throughout the year.
Park Life
The PARK LIFE event at Milton country Park will be held on Sunday 25th July and all activities will start from 11am - 4pm. The 'Open Weekend' celebrates the official 2 year countdown to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the challenge for you is to come a long with the family and try something new to help you get active in the lead up to the 2012 Games.
Bandstand Marathon
Local musicians and groups are invited to join the second Bandstand Marathon event at Milton Country Park in September 2010. The 2009 event featured junk instrument making for children and performances from a small number of local groups. The aim for 2010 is to make the event bigger and better!
