Tenant Compact

The Tenant Compact is a partnership agreement between tenants (residents), leaseholders and South Cambridgeshire District Council to ensure that the objectives of the Resident Involvement Strategy are delivered.

The TSA became the new regulatory body for social housing in April 2010, and because of these new arrangements this agreement will be reviewed annually.

This compact will encourage participation and two way dialogue in the decision making process by offering a wide variety of opportunities for people to become involved in a manner and at a level that they are comfortable with. It is only by involving tenants and leaseholders in the setting, monitoring and review of housing services that we can hope to bring about sustainable improvements in the quality of services provided. The compact will be monitored quarterly and reviewed annually in September to inform the budget setting and service planning processes and to ensure it meets its aims and objectives and reflects good practice.

The production of this compact is a key objective of the Resident Involvement Strategy.
