Strategy and Development

South Cambridgeshire District Council believes that access to affordable housing is important in promoting quality of village life and sustainability in communities. New affordable housing is the top priority for our housing strategy and a key corporate priority.

The Housing Strategic Services Team are responsible for the development, monitoring and review of the strategic housing functions of the Authority including the delivery of affordable housing policies, the Housing Strategy and subsidiary documents. One of the main objectives within the Team is to enable the provision of new affordable housing for those in need, including key workers, by working in partnership with registered social landlords, the Homes & Communities Agency (formerly known as the Housing Corporation) and/or other sub-regional or regional bodies.
