Strategies

The strategic role within the team involves ensuring that the Council meets its statutory obligations in terms of homelessness, energy efficiency, tackling disrepair in the private sector and ensuring the adequate supply of affordable housing.

This involves the writing of the housing strategy, which is the umbrella document for housing which sets out a plan of how we intend to meet and manage the housing needs of South Cambridgeshire now and over the next five years. There are also a number of other sister strategies and policy statements that sit alongside this document. The team also monitors performance and progress against the strategies on a quarterly/annual basis. Research into the housing needs of the District and sub-regionally are also key to informing these documents.
