Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA)

This authority is participating in a Sub Regional SHMA in line with guidance published by the government. This study was commissioned from the County Council Research Group by all of the local authorities in the sub region, in partnership with other interested agencies. The specification for the project conforms to the 11 criteria listed by the government as the test for a "fit for purpose" assessment.

The SHMA brings together a wealth of details about housing markets, housing needs, past delivery of homes and plans for the future across the seven districts in our housing sub-region.
