The Future of Council Homes
In April 2007, South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) launched its Housing Futures project. This has been examining the future for Council housing in South Cambridgeshire.
It has involved detailed discussion and consultation with tenants, leaseholders, Councillors, staff, consultants and other local authorities. By November 2007, it was clear that tenants across the district wanted to know more about what transfer would involve.
The information in this area of the website explains what has happened so far and gives more detail on what is going to happen in the second phase of the project. (More detailed information on what happened in the first phase of the project can be found here.)
