In line with the Council's policy of waste minimisation, the number of additional wheeled bins available to each household is restricted to one, however, there is no automatic entitlement to an additional bin and you cannot be issued with any additional bins until:

1. You have tried the scheme for one month
2. You are using the green and blue bin to their full potential
3. You have satisfactorily demonstrated to the Council the need for an additional bin.

If after trialling the scheme for one month you request an additional bin, an officer of the Council must visit to assess the need for extra capacity.

Large households, or other households that can demonstrate the need, can be supplied with an additional 240ltr bin for £62.00 (black, blue and green bins) including VAT.

Only bins supplied by SCDC will be emptied.
