Clinical waste collections

More and more people are now being referred by the Health Service to treat themselves at home. If this treatment involves the use of dressings, needles or other surgical equipment, these items must be collected separately from other waste.

This council also offers a collection service from Commercial organisations e.g. doctors, vets, clinics etc.

You can also contact us for free advice on storage, collection methods and what you need to do to comply with the law.

Clinical waste will be collected on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays depending on your location.

The waste should be left by your front door, unless by specific arrangement, by 7am.

Please contact Health and Environmental services for further information, prices or to arrange a collection.
