Bin and box collection

South Cambridgeshire District Council's refuse collection scheme consists of two wheeled bins (green and black) and one green recycling box. These are collected from your doorstep on alternate weeks.

  • The normal collection point is at the kerbside.
  • The normal collection time is between 7.00 am to 18.30 pm. Refuse should always be placed out by 7.00am on collection day.

All enquiries, requests for new or replacement bins and reports of missed collections should be reported as soon as possible toHealth and Environmental Services. Alternatively, refuse service requests (This link will open in a new window) can be submitted online.

Follow the links below or in the left hand menu for household waste information.

Blue wheeled bin and inner caddy

Blue bin to replace the green box

From October 2010, South Cambridgeshire District Council is changing the way it collects your recyclable waste by replacing the existing green box scheme with a blue wheeled bin, which comes with a specially designed inner caddy to keep paper separate from everything else.
