Council managed Travellers' sites

South Cambridgeshire District Council manages two sites at Milton and Whaddon, which are owned by Cambridgeshire County Council.

There are also sites in the following areas:

Blackwell, Milton

  • Site opened in 1993 and owned by Cambridgeshire County Council
  • Site refurbished in 2004
  • Total of 15 pitches - all occupied (19/07/2006)
  • Maximum of 30 caravans - at maximum (19/07/2006)

New Farm, Whaddon

Site map for New Farm

  • Site opened in 1979 and owned by Cambridgeshire County Council
  • Site refurbished in 1992
  • Total of 14 pitches - all occupied (19/07/2006)
  • Maximum of 20 caravans - at maximum (19/07/2006)
  • Awarded £12,385 in July 2005 from the Governments' Gypsy site refurbishment grant. This paid for repairs to a sewage pumping plant and speed bumps
