This free event , organised by grassroots organisation the Greening Campaign, will be well worth attending for anyone involved in greening our homes. It is an opportunity to find out to find out more about the Green Deal - the government's flagship initiative, which has the potential to revolutionise energy efficiency in British properties, and also to contribute your views on the Greeen Deal as part of the current consultation process.

ECOTON GO SOLAR INFORMATION EVENING
Come and find out all about Coton SPEP group, Ecoton's two schemes to encourage more solar power - a bulk purchase group for home owners wishing to install solar photovoltaic panels, and a Community Investment scheme to allow villagers to invest in solar panels installed on roofs in the village, or allow homeowners to rent their roof to the scheme to benefit from free electricity with no capital outlay.

Catherine Howe will explain the work of the Cambridgeshire Renewables Infrastructure Framework (CRIF) and lead a session on how SPEP groups can extend their reach beyond the 'usual suspects' using websites, twitter, facebook and other social media.

SPEP WORKSHOP
Lots of residents and local people are making efforts to reduce energy and live more sustainably. There is a growing demand not only for businesses and organisations to also do their bit but also a demand for 'greener', more climate-friendly services and products. This workshop, led by Rosemary Randall as part of the Cambridge Climate Change Charter support package, will give advice and support to SPEP parishes and groups in Cambridge wishing to involve businesses and organisations with energy efficiency and carbon reduction.
